My goal at the beginning of the year was to make $5,000 of passive income. It finally came true in October. Major of the passive income came from you guessed it option trading. This income stream has been very profitable compared to owning REITs or having a high yield savings account.
Similar to months that does not have a SCHD payout. I don’t see this changing much as I probably won’t be investing in REIT anymore. So the income here won’t be game changing. None to the less I will take what I can get.
Total Dividend Income: $65.30
Again, this is my biggest contribution to my passive income. I did some aggressive put option to earn nearly 800 dollars per contract and the rest of less than 300 per contract. I also utilized credit spreads this month at a higher rate. The goal with credit spreads was to use less capital to earn a higher return.
Below is a breakdown of all the premiums I earned for the month:
Savings will fluctuate due to my option trading in Robinhood. If I do more trades there then savings will be taking a hit. Although I have been moving premium gain from option trading to my saving account on a monthly bases.
Earned another 20 dollars this month again. Nothing changed here except that I am collecting money to convert to Atlas cash to be able to buy more virtual properties.
5. Amazon KDP
I sold another three books this month. With a busy life now I don’t have hours to spend on making new books. So this will remain low.
Here’s the full breakdown of my passive income for the month:
Final Thoughts:
This has been a great month. I managed to hit my goal of $5,000 passive income for the first time this year. I am hoping I can continue doing this for the next two month to finish the year strong. Looking forward to next month.
