Hi my name is Hardy. I’ve worked over 10 plus years in the accounting world for many different industries ranging from Bio-Tech to SaaS startups. After getting laid off countless times dues to acquisition, I’ve grown tired of the corporate environment.

It typically goes like this. Interview for the job and maybe get the job after a few rounds. Work there for about a year or two then get laid off. Repeat the cycle at least 5 times. The last job I held was probably the worst accounting job ever. The hours were long and I wasn’t able to spend time with my family. I recall a few times I had to work till 5 am in the morning because management needed it ASAP. I did my best to show my dedication to the company, but in the end they felt it wasn’t enough and ended my employment.

I decided enough is enough. Time for a change. I shouldn’t keep living like everyone else. So, I decided to start a blog in the hope that I can some day retire early, travel the world and spend time with my beloved family.
