May 2026 Monthly Passive Income Report: $3,030.85

1. Dividend Stocks

Lower than last month due to Vanguard paying out quarterly dividends last month.

Total Dividend Income: $31.09

2. Option Trading

I made some emotional moves with my call options which cause me to pay premiums to avoid getting assigned. Which I shouldn’t have done to quickly as the market did a correction and the stock price for NVTS went below the strike price. Now I am having to spend time trying to recoup the loss. In any case I managed to profit on a few calls that got assigned.

Below is a breakdown of all the premiums I earned for the month:

  • Covered Calls: -$1,315
  • Cash-Secured Puts: $623
  • Credit Spreads: $0
  • Early Option Close Out: $0
  • Selling Profits: $3,603.35

3. High-Yield Savings

Turned out things are not looking great here. Even thought I have income my savings have been falling short here. This is due to paying mortgage, HOA, cell phone, internet and with the new addition of daycare that is costing $2,000 a month. Things will change next month if our home gets sold and I won’t be paying mortgage while my wife takes care of rent.

  • Total Income from High-Yield Savings: $46.17

4. Atlas Earth

I’ve only been collecting more Atlas earth virtual currency to buy more properties.

  • Total Income from Atlas Earth: $28

5. Amazon KDP

I managed to sell 4 books in total this month. Which makes me really want to get back into creating books.

  • Total Income from Amazon KDP: $14.24

Final Thoughts:

Not the option trading I wanted, but I still managed to make money. I need to learn to control my emotions when trading. I’ve been in a few situation were the stock price went above my strike price and I immediately panic and try to resolve the situation when I could have just been patience.
