This month wasn’t the greatest month as I didn’t even hit the $2,000 mark. Somehow the market recovered even after all this news about tariffs. So I wasn’t able to utilize rolling over some of my covered calls which is the most important part of my passive income. None the less, lets look at the passive income break down.
This income went down about 90 dollars due to SCHD ETFs paying quarterly dividends last month. I’ve also been slowing adding more REITs stock as I want to end up with at least $1,000 passive income by year end.
I was hoping to rollover more covered call with Nvidia, but somehow the stock went above the strike price that it didn’t make sense to do one. So I decided to let two covered calls execute on 5/30/2025 with strike price $120 and $118.
Below is a breakdown of all the premiums I earned for the month:
I recently started a temp position so this won’t be any issue anymore until 6 months later. There is a chance they will extend my time for another 6 months and possible permanent roll in the future. We will see how that goes, but for the time being savings income will most likely go up for now.
No change here as I haven’t really purchase more virtual properties. I did manage to purchase more badges when I traveled to Hawaii for about a week. More badges means more income.
5. Amazon KDP
I started this while I was unemployed back in February of this year. It didn’t start getting picking up until April when I sold two books. That was when I started working on it again until I was Hawaii then I stopped completely from creating books, but somehow people are ordering the books I created a months ago. For May I sold three books generating around 3 dollars per book. Hopefully I can get around making more books to sell on Amazon.
Here’s the full breakdown of my passive income for May:
Final Thoughts:
Again, this month wasn’t great due to how the stock market recovered and most of my Nvidia covered calls had a strike price between $120 and $125. I am hopeful that I can some how roll some of those covered calls to generate some income and to retain my shares of Nvidia. In the other hand I can probably do put options for Nvidia now. We will see next month how that goes.
