Time for my monthly option trading analysis. Sadly AMD exploded in the last few weeks, so I won’t be doing any more put options with them. I’ll will be looking for new stocks to add to my option trading. So lets take a look at what I did for October.
I didn’t look into Robinhood stocks until recently. I knew they went IPO a while back, but didn’t pay much attention. When I did look at their stock it was $145 compared to when it only $10. I decided to do a few puts as Robinhood might be onto something. I did two puts and had one roll forward before expiration. So in total three puts for the month.
I will most likely keep doing this for the good premiums and if I do get assigned I’ll just do covered calls.
I added more shares of Navitas Semiconductor (NVTS) because I believe they will be a game changer for the AI sector and I had a few covered called get assigned. So I lost around $200 share, but I make a profit.
For the month, I executed 17 put options/credit spreads and 5 call option on NVTS bringing a total of $1,720 in total premiums.
I didn’t do a lot with Applied Digital (APLD) this month as the stock as risen above $30 a share which is taking more capital to do put. So I have been doing less puts and more credit spread to earn income.
For the month, I sold 13 put options/credit spreads on APLD amounted to $549.
I really wanted to get back in on SOFI stock, but the stock has gone up to $30 dollars. I keep thinking it is to late, but it is never to late. I decided to sell put options hoping to get in at a lower price.
For the month, I sold 13 put options/credit spreads on SOFI amounted to $1,443.
I had many one off option trading that I have been testing out. Hopefully I will do enough on those to add to my explanation.
With all the new of AI this, AI that, I just have been sticking to it. I really don’t want to miss out on the AI phase and feel like I didn’t make the right decision. Although I am not sticking solely to AI stocks, but other stocks that are rising in their sectors like SOFI and Robinhood for banking. I believe those two stocks will come out ahead as they keep innovating or adding new products for the new generations to come.
